Brief Intro: Anup Barik comes from a distinguished family of Master Blenders. They bring together a total blending experience of more than 150 years that includes his father & two brothers.

Work extensively in various Joint Ventures:

Whyte & Mackay India JV: Developed whiskies like Genesis, Whytehall & Riyal Peg.

Bacardi India JV: Involved in blend & malt quality.

Diageo India JV: Involved in product development & quality. Developed Masterstroke Whisky.

Milestones as a Master Blender:

1994: Started carrier as a Master Blender at Radico Khaitan Ltd & implemented sensory & blend quality control system.

1995: Developed Genesis & Whytehall whisky for Whyte & Mackay JV

1998: Developed 8 PM Whisky, which is first whisky in India to cross one million c/s in its first year of launch. Currently 9th largest selling whisky in the world.

2000: Developed Old Admiral Brandy, currently 3rd largest brandy in the world.

2003: Developed Magic Moments Gin.

2006: Developed Magic Moments Vodka & various expressions of flavoured vodka including Magic Moments Green Apple Vodka. Currently 12th largest Vodka in the world.

2007: Jointly Developed Masterstroke Whisky in a JV with Diageo.

2008: Developed Morpheus Premium Brandy, which changed the brandy industry in India forever.

2009: Developed After Dark Whisky.

2011: Developed Florence Premium Brandy.

2012: Developed Magic Moments Verve Premium Vodka.

2015: Developed Regal Talon Whisky

2016: Developed Rampur Select Indian Single Malt Whisky

2017: Developed Rampur PX Single Malt Whisky

2018: Developed Jaisalmer Gin, 1965 Rum & 8 PM Black Whisky. 8 PM Black is currently the fastest growing whisky in the world.

2019: Rampur Double Cask Single Malt Whisky & launched Rampur Signature Reserve Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky. Rampur Signature Reserve is the most aged and expensive whisky from India and it was sold at a price more than 1000 GBP. There were only 450 bottles of limited release to the world.

2020: Rampur Asava Indian Single Malt Whisky. First single malt in the world to finish the single malt in an Indian Cabernet Sauvignon Cask.

2021: Developed Royal Ranthambore Whisky, the most expensive IMFL, Magic Moments Dazzle Gold & Magic Moments Silver Vanilla Flavoured Super Premium Vodka.

2022: Rampur Trigun is cask strength limited release has a unique combination of American Bourbon, Champagne & Sauternes wine casks.

Release of Rampur Jugalbandi Series – 1 Double matured in American Bourbon & Muscatel Casks & Rampur Jugalbandi Series -2 in American Bourbon & Calvados Casks.

Jaisalmer Gold Gin: Combination of 18 handpicked botanicals including saffron.

2023: Release of Rampur Jugalbandi Series – 3 Double matured in American Bourbon & Tawny Port Wine Casks & Rampur Jugalbandi Series -4 in American Bourbon & Pale Ale Casks.

Sangam World Malt: We called it World Malt Whisky, where East meets West. Basically blended malt whiskies from West and Asia.

Extensively travelled to more than 50 Scotch Whisky Distilleries in Highland, Lowland, Speyside and Campbell Town in Scotland and closely worked with many of them in developmental work for the whisky projects.

Travelled to Cognac and work with few of them for developmental work of Brandies.

Travelled to various part of the Europe like. Jerez in Spain, Boudreaux, Cognac & Grasse in France, Porto in Portugal, Germany & Scotland to check & source Cask programme, for Whisky, Brandy & Rum projects.

Also travelled to various part of Europe & other part of the world for new flavour development .
