Hina Nagarajan is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Diageo India, and a member of Diageo’s global Executive Committee.

Hina joined Diageo as Managing Director, Diageo - Africa Emerging Markets (AEM), where she was instrumental in leading business operations in 37 markets including Ghana, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Angola and other WACA countries, before she moved to Diageo India last year. Hina led the transformation of AEM to deliver significant growth, whilst doubling operating margins. She spearheaded the shaping of bold strategy changes that significantly improved Diageo’s performance and profitability, while enhancing the company’s reputation in this region.

As Managing Director and CEO of Diageo India, Hina has led the reshaping of the business strategy for long term profitable growth and value to all stakeholders. Her mantras of agility and speed of execution are unleashing new energy while simplifying decision making.

Hina brings a breadth of over three decades of leadership experience to this role. She has held leadership positions in eminent global companies including Reckitt, Mary Kay India and Nestlé India. Prior to joining Diageo, Hina was Sr. Vice President, Regional Director of Reckitt, North Asia, leading the business across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Under her leadership, the region become the top profit contributor to Reckitt’s operations, as well as the fastest growing amongst the top 50 Consumer companies in China.

Hina is known for her passion in building strong teams with outstanding outcomes and a strong commitment to compliance. She has a proven track record in diverse power markets - India, China, SE Asia and Africa across several sectors (food & beverage, health & hygiene, nutrition, beauty, home décor).

Hina is a strong advocate of creating opportunities for women and contributes extensively to Inclusion & Diversity Programs. Her contributions have been widely recognized through global and Indian industry accolades including Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business 2021 and Business World Most Influential Women 2022, Business Today’s Most Powerful Women in Business 2021 Business World Most Influential Women 2022EMpower Top 100 Ethnic Minority Role Model Lists (2020, 2019), WeQual I&D Award Winner (2019) and Cranfield University Top 50 Women to Watch (2019). She has also served on the National Board of AmCham in India.

Hina holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and has completed her Bachelor’s degree from Delhi University alongwith a full time program in Hotel Management from Pusa Institute, New Delhi

Hina enjoys spending time with her family. She loves travelling to and discovering exotic destinations with her husband. Hina is passionate about music, has learnt to play the sitar & piano and appreciates diverse genres, right from old pop to instrumental.
