A MAN WITH A ‘SPIRIT’ FOR ADVENTURE

Don’t let his diamond ear studs, Canali suit or his collection of 14supercars (and one superbike) mislead you into thinking Varun Jain is complacent about success. This 34-year-old scion of the NV Group – a Delhi-based liquor manufacturer, is an entrepreneur with many passions. The number one on that list, for now, is shaking up India’s booming alcohol scene.

“We Indians have a very unique way of living and celebrating life. So, while its good to have the finest international brands to choose from, we deserve our own homegrown and iconic premium alcohol brands to love.THAT is the singular mission I am working on.

”As second-gen Commander-in-Chief and Director - Marketing & New Business Development at NV Group - one of the largest chain of Grain Spirit Distilleries in the country - Varun is very likely the best man to deliver on such a monumental mission. Founded nearly25 years ago by Varun’s father Mr. Ashok Jain, the NV Group is a Delhi-based liquor manufacturer and a leading producer of distilled spirits. The group operates 6 state-of-the-art distillery units, offering a wide range of alcohol brands that have quite a following in north-western India and Africa. Its high quality products have also earned NV Group collaborations with IMFL companies like Pernod Ricard,Diageo and Bacardi Martini India.

Since he has joined the company he immediately got to initiating a new era in the company’s formidable growth story. He has re-branded several of the well-established company owned brands, and driven the creation of its upcoming luxury alcohol brands.

Varun is currently in the final stages of strategizing the launch plans for a premium whisky and a luxury vodka by the NV Group. As he gears up for the roll-out (hopefully soon), all of us alcohol loving Indians better look out!
